I had been touring with The Big Takeover as a drummer and percussionist which led to more collaboration as the band started developing new songs. They were a veteran band ready to push in a slightly different direction and open up their horizons with their next album. Our creating and writing style is a group effort and Beet Recording Studio is a good place to capture raw ideas and then expand on them in production. As a non-traditionalist I could help push to those new directions and marry different styles together in the arrangement phase. The tightness of the current team gives this band a really fast pace during the writing stage, so this is a project where I have to be quick on my feet to inform the rhythm and fill out the sound in the song during recording.
