Working with Jayla Kai and getting to witness this early stage in her music journey is a like a dream gig for a producer. We were introduced a few years ago by multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Kyle Esposito who recognized the talent and maturity in the young artist. What began as an opportunity to make a full recording of one of her lyrically rich demo songs became a multiyear collaboration resulting in a 5-song EP. It is a welcome challenge and adventure to create the productions that can capture the dynamics and emotions of her brilliant songs.
